Instructions and feedback form for using the Draft Social Acceptance Pathways
The WISE Power Draft Social Acceptance Pathways (SAPs) will:
- Give you an overview of strategies that enhance social acceptance for onshore wind energy projects
- Present different tools that you can use to communicate, engage and cooperate with any stakeholder involved in onshore wind energy projects
Why?
The draft SAPs will help you answer the following questions:
- Why is social acceptance crucial?
- What are the SAP action fields?
- How to assess the socio-economic context of wind projects?
- How to review your team’s competences?
- How to do a successful stakeholder mapping?
- How to design your SAP strategy?
- How to set up an implementation plan for your strategies?
They will give you an overview of information, engagement and financial participation measures to foster social acceptance.

How?
The toolkit will guide you through the different levels of strategic social engagement planning during all stages of a wind project. You will get access to key knowledge on social acceptance practices. A set of questions will guide you towards a list of social acceptance measures applicable to your projects.
The draft SAPs are an interactive PDF document. If you have any questions about concepts or technical terms in the PDF you can use the glossary on the WISE Power website.
